Osgodby Village Institute

The Village Institute located on Cliffe Road was a redundant, timber framed, chapel, transported from its original location in sections and rebuilt on its current site. Officially opened on 2nd August 1930, it has been upgraded and extended over the years, but the shell is still that of the original building.

Wadkin Arms

The Wadkin Arms, locally known as ‘The Waddy’, is located at the corner of Cliffe Road and Sand Lane. Formerly a farmhouse, it was named after its first licensee, Joseph Wadkin and has been a public house since the 1870’s. The old barns were demolished to create a car park, but the old pub building can still be easily recognised.
