In July 2018, we launched our Living Memories element of the project with an AFTERNOON TEA held in the Institute with invited guests who were “Osgodby born and bred” to recall their memories of living in Osgodby during the 1930s to the 1950s. About 40 people attended and they all enjoyed the afternoon tea. Some people had not seen each other since they left the village in the 1970s. It was a village reunion atmosphere with people asking if they could do it again. Everyone enjoyed the photographs we had on a slideshow – and the food! Some people brought along photographs of family, friends and events from past years to add to the digital photographic library. We plan to interview people to record their oral history of the village.
