On Tuesday 13 August, several members of the group, together with guests, visited Selby Abbey for a guided tour. It was a very pleasant and informative afternoon.
Our Chair, Janet, gave her review of the afternoon ” I think we all learnt a lot and were amazed at the chequered history of our treasured Selby Abbey. I, for one, am glad we had a guided tour as lots of things were pointed out which would otherwise not have been seen”.
