We had a great night last night at our monthly meeting. Our guest speaker Malcolm Brooke gave a fascinating and excellent talk on the Baedeker Air Raids of York 1942. Malcolm’s impeccable research and visual presentation was very much appreciated by everyone. We had a look at maps where the bombs exploded, photographs of the bomb damage, together with details of bomb shelters. We also heard about the personal stories of two of the York residents and how they did not survive.
