We had a great monthly meeting in January when we were joined by Roland Chilvers who brought along photographs from his collection of Osgodby and Barlby in days gone by. It brought back memories for some folk and tested memories of others, who tried to remember names from yesteryear or recognise buildings long gone.
It was great to see new guests visit us (we thought we were going to run out of chairs!), and we hope they will visit again soon.
We also had a very brief Annual General Meeting, chaired by Jan who managed to have the meeting “done and dusted” in 10 minutes!
We had a couple of hiccups but managed to overcome them – technology is wonderful until it does wrong!
A very enjoyable evening, and by popular demand, Roland will be back later in the year, this time with 1947 Selby Floods photographs.
